I have been 40 years in the health and fitness industry as a fitness consultant. My academic qualification includes pre-university diplomas from an Academy in Malaysia. Everything else is from hands-on training in the hospitality industry. I can speak English and Malay.
I enjoy working with and teaching children as they are the future of the world. I like teaching young individuals skills and mindsets that will make them better individuals as they grow. No child is the same, they each have their unique gifts and talents. My passion is to develop these gifts and talents. I have worked with two special needs individuals and working with them has taught me a lot. Children are fun to teach. I enjoy learning with them. I have spent many years using Stephen Covey's "7 Habits of Highly effective people" method in bringing out the best in individuals. The same 7 principles work well with children. I can teach dance, flexibility (stretching), carpentry, how to play the guitar and keyboard. Teaching them posture, balance, fluid movement, Tai Chi, food management, exercise, sports (racket & ball). I taught group exercise classes like aerobics, step, and cardio-kickboxing for 20 years since 1980. Being children, I will scale it down to their level of understanding and skill. My double garage is my training studio. I believe things will evolve as I work with children. I also look forward to meeting the parents (guardians) of the children, as interacting with them is important as they can help me understand their children better. I would like to know their views and concerns they have for their children as every child is unique. I have two daughters, 4 and 12 years of age.
